Dieci's telehandler range is renewed and expanded in 2023, especially with the Pegasus rotary series. Three new series were launched for a total of nine new models.
The rotary telehandlers of the new Pegasus range significantly increase both in terms of performance and in terms of technology. Dieci has focused, for this new Pegasus range, most of all on ease of use and high performance. With an operational coverage reaching 2,350 m2 in the top model thanks to the continuous rotation of the turret, the new Pegasus range makes a decisive leap forward, placing itself in premium performance classes.
Dieci has introduced three new series which include all nine new models. All with different set-up levels both in terms of performance and equipment.
The entry level is represented by the Essential series which includes non-continuous rotary machines with a maximum rotation of 400°. It consists of two 16 and 18-metre models: the Pegasus 40.16 and 40.18, with a maximum capacity of 40 quintals, designed primarily for the rental market or for users who do not require high performance.
The Classic series includes two models with continuous 360° rotation. Both heights and performance increase with six new models: 60.16, 60.21, 50.25, 70.25, 60.26 and 60.30 for increasing maximum capacities (from 50 to 70 quintals). The Classics are equipped with a dual 3.5″ display in the cluster and a 7″ with integrated rear view camera vision.
Finally, the Elite series, the top of the range, which is characterized by the presence of EasyTech System technology. Specifically, they adopt a dedicated digital technology that increases ease of use, operational efficiency and comfort. The Elite series consists of a single model, the Pegasus 60.35, which is characterized by a capacity of 6,000 kg with a lifting height of 35 metres. The cab is also equipped with automatic air conditioning and recirculation.
The whole new Pegasus range is characterized by the EasyTech System technology self-produced by Dieci. The objectives of this module are multiple and start from the simplification of the operator's work to arrive at an increase in efficiency, safety and control. The EasyTech System is characterized by fundamental functions for those who work in the precision lifting sector. A fundamental aid for the operator who has to manage important loads at significant heights. The presence of EasyTech System technology gives a high level of performance combined with simplicity of use necessary for a 35-metre-high machine with a maximum capacity of 60 quintals.
Among these is the so called Retracted
movement, which allow to manage the machine’s movements in an intelligent and controlled way. Even the movement of the arm can now be managed automatically by the control unit in six different working modes that can be set by the operator. The soft motion function also allows for smooth advancement based on load and setup.
On the other hand, the self-levelling function in stabilization allows safety in working even on terrains with complex geometries. Then there is the anti-crash system which limits the work area of the machine based on the parameters set by the operator, avoiding going beyond defined areas. Finally, a practical remote control for driving the vehicle or basket on the ground optimizes operations in complex contexts where maximum precision and safety are required.
The company’s first thought was the maximum accessibility for non-regular operators (above all renters). The new technology developed for the Pegasus aims to simplify every procedure. Instead, the most used commands have been left analogical. On the other hand, the advanced features have been implemented on the display. The operating parameters have remained simple and intuitive so that the machine can be used quickly and safely in all working conditions.
Each model is designed to achieve high levels of performance in a simple but safe way in order to make production processes easier while safeguarding those who work on site.
The Pegasus series is also equipped with the Anti Tilt System Pro function which takes care of automatic machine recognition. This means any manual operation is avoided thanks to a pre-set load diagram. Its activation takes place when the equipment is changed, guaranteeing maximum comfort and maximum control during the operating phase.
The presence of the advanced anti-tilt system Anti Tilt System Pro protects the operator by making use of a dynamic calculation with immediate effect.
The Easy Work System technology allows an automatic adaptation of the working area of the Pegasus based on the position of the stabilizer feet. In the event of an overload, it immediately interrupts any movement that could destabilize the machine. Finally the DTS, the Dieci Telematic System, allows remote monitoring by giving access to the Dieci assistance team. In this way it verifies the operating data, analyzes the parameters and adjusts any functions thanks to the automatic software update. It also shows to the operator the maintenance procedures.
